Windows updates are a pretty regular and boring thing. You are on your laptop or PC doing something, and you get the annoying alert that Windows has to be updated. You keep postponing it until, finally, one day you have nothing better to do than update your Windows. But here and there, the updates are handy, and you are missing out if you don’t use some new or improved feature. Today is a bit different, as we base our findings on a significant update and release – Windows 11.
Table of Contents
Webpages – Refreshed Edge
Edge hasn’t had that much success, considering how firmly Windows pushes it compared to Firefox, Safari, Chrome, or Opera. However, new Windows 11 recently added the option in Edge to pin a site to your taskbar, and you can then hover over to see a preview of all the open tabs. So if you opened too many poker games (some players do take their time) or too many different Online Roulette Casino tabs, you can now easily handle them. Just go to Settings and more, then More tools, and finally Pin to taskbar. With this improvement, it is much easier to watch over all your card and other games.
Revamped Snip and Sketch
Once the screen sketch is Snip & Sketch, you can use it to mark up and share a previous image or take a snip of what is on your screen. You can easily find the app in the search box on the taskbar, write Snip & Sketch and select it from the results list.
For a snip, press the Windows key + Shift + S. Your cursor will be displayed as a cross you can use to point at the edge of the area you want to copy. It highlights the area you want to capture, and it will soon appear on the screen. The image gets saved to the clipboard. You can also edit the snip via the notification after you made the snip. You have the option to copy, share or save the image, as well as editing options like a highlighter, a pen, or an eraser, all available in different sizes.
Androids and Emojis
You can now more easily use emojis on your Windows 11, allowing you free expressions as you please. Just press the Windows key + period (.). That will open an emoji panel. You can create symbols with punctuation and currency to make statements or emojis like faces with texts.
Now you can experience Windows on your Android much better. You can get the Microsoft Launcher from the Google Play Store app on your Android phone. Just type in Microsoft Launcher. After it gets installed, you can use Microsoft Launcher for better syncing your Office and calendars, daily wallpapers, and more.
All in all, this update wasn’t exclusively about security but offered some exciting perks. You can easily visit Microsoft online pages to find out more features introduced in this update, as more than can be covered in just one article.
