What is lab work?

Formatting of the lab report: subtleties and important points
The first page of the report is the title page. The top of the page begins with the name of the institution and faculty. Then comes the title “Lab Report on the … Discipline” and the topic. On the right side of the page, you should write your name. Below is the full name and academic degree of the teacher who checks the report, at the bottom of the sheet – place and year of the study.

The easiest way to format this section is to copy and slightly reformulate the introduction. A more difficult option for drawing up the final part is to make valid conclusions based on the goals, objectives, and theory, based on the results of laboratory work. The last method is recommended by teachers, but it is not required as the only way to end a lab report – therefore, you can use the first method when writing this section.
List of used literature
This section is optional for a report on laboratory work; it is created only at the request of the teacher according to the given requirements. It should always be on a separate page.
Although the title page is included in the report pages, it does not need to be numbered. Pages are numbered in Arabic numerals in the center of the bottom of the sheet without a dot. For the convenience of page numbering in the document, the title page can be placed in a separate file.
There are also special conditions for drawings, photographs, and tables. They are regulated by the requirements which you can ask your teacher about.
Images and tables should follow the text that refers to them. Graphic elements need to be centered on the page. The name of the image is written after the word “Figure,” for example, “Figure 1 – Diagram of the device”. The text is centered on the page.
The table content should be clear from its title. The name is placed on the left above the table in one line with a number separated by a dash. For example: “Table 1.1 – Information units”. The text must be presented impartially, from the third person. The presentation style should be scientific. Use only generally accepted abbreviations. The paragraph should begin with a hyphenation; place the text in width. Before writing, you should check the list of recommended literature.
