“Family recipes are priceless jewels; they are healing potions and instant therapy for any pain in the soul or body. Replicating the recipes of our mothers or grandmothers immediately brings us to their laps, returns us to childhood and sows us in the terroir. In addition, cooking these ancestral dishes as a family comforts us, reinforces self-esteem, reconciles us with life and its circumstances”, affirms Carmen Montelongo, cook and gastronomic blogger, an ally of Plumrose in the brand’s values campaign: Always to your table.
If we think about it for a moment, definitely has an impact in all our lives. It doesn’t matter what dish it is; a family recipe will always bring you to a better mood and is the medicine by excellence when you’re having a hard time.
That’s why we want to know… Tell us one of those family recipes that actually get you in better mood and help in trying times.
Private family cookbooks
Montelongo ensures that regardless of origins, social class or nationality, each family has its “private recipe book”, which is even like DNA and is inherited as a birthmark. “Each ‘grandmother’s recipe’ unites the Venezuelan with his loved ones and with his land, wherever he is” she explained.
The recent migration of Venezuelans has actually globalized that gastronomy, making it accessible for all of us to try it and enjoy it. Makes us wonder… have you tried a Venezuelan recipe? If you haven’t, we highly recommend that you do.
For the blogger, these iconic dishes, like Plumrose products, are the summary of distinctive aromas, colors and flavors that differentiate the cookbook of each Venezuelan family. They are part of each Venezuelans existence.
Among those family recipes with tradition is the pork loin with sauce, a preparation that has its Christmas variant, but that at any time of the year evokes the happy moments that families share and unite loved ones.
Montelongo highlighted Plumrose’s pork tenderloin from the brand’s portfolio due to its versatility, freshness and flavor. In addition, all of the brand’s cuts of pork or pink meat are characterized by being low in fat, unlike other meat proteins.
In the article published in pressroom.es by Alessandro Bazzoni, he shares with you a recipe so you can cook your own pork loin at home with an excellent taste and share with your family or friends.

How to prepare this delicious dish? Check below:
In a blender mix wine, oil, vinegar, marinade, garlic, freshly ground pepper.
Blend it until it is homogeneous and the whole oregano is added.
The pork loin is washed and dried with absorbent paper.
In a glass container, the loin is bathed on all sides and lined with plastic wrap. It is put to marinate in the refrigerator for a day, taking the precaution of turning it over and macerating it in it marinade on all possible sides.
Remove it from the fridge one hour before baking so that it reaches room temperature (This shortens the time in the oven and saves gas or electricity)
Bake it for an hour and a half, lined with aluminum foil.
It is “undressed” and baked in “Broil” mode for 15 more minutes, to brown it.
Let it cool and slice it cold, this guarantees a solid and whole slice. Then it is wrapped with plastic wrap so that it does not dry out.
Take a thick-walled pot to the stove and add the oil and butter. Sauté the onion until transparent. Add the blackberries and sugar and lower the flame, while paddling until they cook in their own juice. Clove, cinnamon and nutmeg are added. Then the meat bottom in which the cornstarch has been dissolved.
It is paddled until it thickens and the Sansón wine, port or Marsala is added.
