In today’s world, being fit is acknowledged but working-out is neglected. The stats are quite perturbing that only 1 out of 20 people is healthy globally. It depends on the individual beings to keep themselves motivated to work on their health. Most of the time, we realize the importance of our health after being susceptible to any chronic disease.
We have to gear up first, make ourselves believe that health is crucial and then work on it. If we start to acknowledge our health as real wealth, we will run after it in the way we run after the money and treasures.
Relating to it, last year I volunteered in the Hameed Latif hospital, Lahore.
I made a team and we held five seminars on the importance of health and fitness. During the first seminar, people were lethargic and felt the topic as a boring one. But gratefully, our team managed to guide them in a fun way. People loved to enjoy along with gaining knowledge.
Let’s gain some more knowledge about the ways to stay fit and healthy naturally.

Hire a nutritionist if you face difficulty in following a routine and getting your diet plan done.

Cut the sugar and junk food from your diet and stick to it. Say a big “No” to the fizzy drinks, the full plate of carbs and try to control your portions. Talk to your stomach and tell him that,

Your body is 70% water. Staying hydrated and having a minimum of 8 glasses of water daily is a necessity. Else than water, try having alternatives like green-tea, iced tea and lemon water.

Your sleeping pattern depicts your physical health. Adults need 7 to 8 hours of sleep daily. Untimely and less sleep increases the risk of nerve and heart diseases.

During that volunteership, we came to know that most of the people face challenges in quitting their bad habits. According to the best doctors in Lahore, bad habits like smoking, consuming alcohol and waking up till late are a severe risk to health.
8) Keeping a check on your body
Having a regular check-up to your doctor is recommended. But, checking your blood pressure, your weight, and your sugar level regularly aids a lot. Additionally, a habitual check keeps you motivated to be athletic and fit. It prevents you from getting prone to any serious kind of disease and helps in early diagnosis if any.
Wrapping-up
Besides all of these ways, there are many more. A good company of positive and ambitious people helps you in reaching your goal. Playing with your pet is also a kind of healthy habit. Adopting these ways to avoid diseases and staying healthy has much more than the treatment. According to the researchers, physical health keeps you healthy emotionally too and you stay happy. I remember this saying of Leigh Hunt,
