For any man, a beard is a sign of masculinity and full maturity. It turns out that one becomes exceptionally proud to own a mustache as it enhances one’s appearance, especially to the members of the opposite sex. 

As a result of this, one of the most popular searches on Google nowadays is ‘how long does it take to grow a beard?’ However, people ought to differentiate between natural and artificial growth. This is because the natural growth of beards leads to healthy strands that remain so as long as a good lifestyle is practiced. 

Fortunately, here are a few beard tips that will stimulate the natural growth of your beards.

1. Exfoliating the skin

Usually, people use soap and water to clean their faces. Others only do it while taking a shower. However, this is a bad habit as it leads to clogging of dirt in your skin follicles. 

For this reason, one is advised to exfoliate their face at least once per week. In so doing, ensure that only quality scrub that is compatible with your skin is applied.  Exfoliating ensures the removal of dead cells on the skin; this unclogging some hair follicles. This gives a chance for new hairs to sprout on your face.

2. Have enough rest and sleep

With our busy schedules, a lot of us end up losing our minds in money-making schemes. Unfortunately, we forget about our well-being in the process, leading to poor health. Health practitioners recommend a minimum of 8 hours of sleep per day. However, we understand that bills and other obligations must be met. For this reason, ensure that you get at least 5 hours of sleep per day.

During sleep, you give ample time for your damaged cells to get repaired. In the process, your beards are also stimulated to grow. 

3. Increase the intake of proteins in your diet

Proteins are known as body-building foods as they ensure consistent growth of body cells and organs. Proteins also help in the repair of damaged cells, such as fragile hairs. You are therefore advised to include immense proteins in your diets such as eggs, fish, nuts, and meat. 

The hair strands are also made up of collagen, a protein, as the main property. Enough intake of protein thus ensures stronger hair.

4. Drink more water

Water is essential for the normal functioning of the body. For beards to grow, water is needed in plenty as it makes the skin healthier and clear from all obstacles. It also aids in the transportation of nutrients, vitamins, and mineral salts to the hair follicles, thus stimulating the growth of your strands.

5. Start exercising

Every human being is advised to exercise; if not for his beard, he should do it for his overall health. Exercises not only help in the reduction of stress but also assist in losing excess weight.

Once you subject your body to exercises, it helps in the regeneration of testosterone, a hormone necessary for the growth of facial hair. They also increase the flow of blood in the body, thus distributing nutrients to the hair follicles. This will lead to increased growth of your whiskers.

6. Eat a balanced diet

If you are on a diet, your beard will automatically stagnate in their growth. Ensure that you eat nutritious and well-balanced diet filled with vitamins, mineral salts, proteins, and some carbohydrates. A poor diet will result in fragile strands, thus making your beards more skeptical of damage and breakage. 

7. Reduce your stress

Once you subject your body to stress, your body will lack the ability to generate testosterone hormone. The hormone is responsible for the general growth of body cells, such as hair. Stress also reduces the flow of vitamins and other nutrients to the hair follicles.

Once you find yourself in a stressful condition, take a break by doing some yoga exercises or meditation sessions. If staying in your house leads to an increase in stress, take some evening jogs to unleash your problems. Your body will be grateful and will reward you with a beautiful stack of bristles.

Growing beards does not have to be an expensive process whereby one is forced to buy manufactured products from the stores. With the right tricks and lifestyle, you will hack through it to finally achieve your target beard.
